Description

The Mark 84, also known as BLU-117, is a powerful American general purpose bomb, and the largest in the Mark 80 series. Originally entering service during the Vietnam War, it became a commonly used heavy unguided bomb due to its substantial high-explosive content. Despite its size, it served as a versatile weapon and has been adapted for precision-guided munitions.
